At Last Cabin is a cozy, fully-equipped retreat perched on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon. Wake up to panoramic views of America's second-largest canyon from your private entrance, and spend evenings grilling on the Green Egg while watching the sunset paint the canyon walls in shades of red and gold.
The cabin sleeps four comfortably with three beds and one bathroom. Inside you'll find a fully-stocked kitchen with a microwave, crock pot, coffee maker, toaster oven, and refrigerator — everything you need for a comfortable stay. WiFi, smart TV, and climate control keep you connected and comfortable, while the canyon views remind you why you came.
Experience breathtaking views of the second-largest canyon in the United States, just a short drive away. The kitchen features a microwave, crock pot, coffee maker, and toaster oven (no stove). The beds have luxury mattresses. The bathroom is compact with limited counter space and a standard shower. Outside, you'll find a Green Egg grill with charcoal and an electric starter. Enjoy panoramic views of Palo Duro Canyon stretching across the horizon. Save an evening for stargazing away from city lights. Note: AT&T is the only mobile carrier that works inside the cabin, though most other services work nearby. Visit nearby Canyon, Texas, home to the Panhandle Plains Museum—one of Texas' largest museums—along with great restaurants and a charming town square. A farmers' market runs Saturday mornings during summer. You'll find brochures at the cabin covering local activities. Text me with any questions. Plan extra time to experience the zip line located between the Palo Duro Canyon entrance and the last cabin in our private gated community. The owner is nearby and happy to provide entertainment suggestions. Access: Guests drive in on the road to reach the cabin. There's no direct canyon access from the property. For hiking, you'll need to drive five minutes to Palo Duro State Park. The owner and assistant are available by phone or text for any questions or issues. What guests say
We had a lovely time in the Canyon and the view was spectacular. We were allowed to have a late checkout although other guests were coming in that day and in exchange we cleaned up really well and mopped all the 1st level floors before we left. Although we missed not having a regular stove, we grilled outside taking in the fabulous views so the experience was breathtaking. We plan to be back!

Spectacular Canyon Getaway! We stayed here from September 19–21 and absolutely loved it. The house is perched right on a cliff with spectacular views, jaw-dropping sunrises and sunsets, and incredible stargazing at night. It’s just a very short drive into Palo Duro Canyon State Park, where we enjoyed a great short hike. We ended up visiting the Sad Monkey Mercantile twice—excellent food! The pizza and salad hit the spot, and the sandwiches were awesome. A wonderful, peaceful spot to stay. Highly recommend!
This cabin has magnificent views of the Palo Duro Canyon. My wife and I needed a stop point between Colorado and Fort Worth, and we typically stay in Amarillo to split the drive. We luckily found this hidden gem available near Palo Duro and the views are breathtaking to say the least, pictures can’t do it justice. We were able to enjoy seeing some mountain goats and coyotes roaming around the canyon below the property in the early morning, and watch a thunderstorm roll through the canyon across the distance which was amazing to see. We found the property to be well maintained and comfortable with games and some quite interesting books on the coffee table to scroll through. Not sure what the snobby reviews previously are about, but we had an exceptional experience during our stay here. Hard to find properties on rental sites that are this nice with this type of view around the area, and we will certainly be returning during our next drive to/from Colorado.
As stated in other reviews, the view was worth every penny! This is what I booked the home for and it did not disappoint. Watching the sunrise over the canyon was magnificent! The home, however, needs some updating. The bathroom situation is less than ideal. The main bath is incredibly small. There is zero counter space and it is impossible to get dressed or undressed in there. This place is definitely a gem, but needs some love.
