As stated in other reviews, the view was worth every penny! This is what I booked the home for and it did not disappoint. Watching the sunrise over the canyon was magnificent! The home, however, needs some updating. The bathroom situation is less than ideal. The main bath is incredibly small. There is zero counter space and it is impossible to get dressed or undressed in there. This place is definitely a gem, but needs some love.

Stunning views perched right over the rim of the canyon. The cabin was comfortable and peaceful and full of original artwork.
I loved the Texas cabin, it was peaceful, had great features and was near family/families. My Nieces didn't want me to leave and wanted me to buy the cabin LOL! Thanks again.
Words can’t describe how great this was! It was a last minute booking due to the fact that our plan for the Canyon was tent camping and the forecast called for 105 degree temperatures. Lee was very responsive and helped make our decision to stay at her place an easy one. I can’t thank her enough! Beautiful views, quiet seclusion, great charm. Much better than Glamping!!
A peaceful, private getaway with incredible Texas sunsets! Positive: I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Cowboy Cabin near Palo Duro Canyon. The location is perfect—just outside of Amarillo, so it’s not a far drive, but it is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. The cabin itself is huge, incredibly comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. I was especially happy with the fully equipped kitchen, which even featured a massive refrigerator and freezer. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer as well. The property offers so much peace and quiet, and it feels very private. Some of my favorite moments were watching the horses on the property and taking in the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. If you are looking for a relaxing escape near Palo Duro Canyon, I highly recommend the Cowboy Cabin!
This place is a gem, so beautiful with the Canyon as your backdrop. The place was tidy and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing.
We were looking to get away and disconnect for a week and this was the perfect stay! The views were absolutely incredible. we may go back for another stay!
My Husband and I really enjoyed this place. Its very quiet and peaceful. Thank you for such a nice stay. We would definitely come again.
This is the best place to stay to experience Palo Duro Canyon. The view is AWESOME!!! Very comfortable and relaxing.
Lee’s place and its views were amazing. I never wanted to leave the deck. An amazing view of the sunrise and stars at night. Can’t recommend enough and would stay again in a heartbeat!
Spectacular views and quiet. Peaceful surroundings.
Wonderful place to stay. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely stay there again.
A million dollar view from a cabin in the sky. Peaceful, Quiet, and very relaxing, an escape I will always remember fondly.
Amazing views of the beautiful canyon. Our first time to Palo Duro Canyon and we enjoyed it more than our trip to Grand Canyon. Amarillo is just close enough to enjoy city things in addition to secluded feel of this cabin. It sits next to two other cabins but due to its position when you look out the beautiful windows you feel very secluded. Yes as stated tiny bathroom but the rest of the cabin very spacious.
The view from this cabin was magnificent! Worth every penny! The day before check in I messaged Lee because I wanted to add an extra night and saw that it was available but couldn’t book on the site. I messaged Lee and within a half day or so she told me to text her. I texted right away and then again a few hours later but never heard back from her during my entire stay so I wasn’t able to stay an extra night after all. So bummed.
Great ranch, great people, would happily stay here again. Positive: The location could not be beat, such an amazing ranch. The retired cowboy that greeted me, helped with some issues and checked up on me was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet. The spot was perfect for visiting Palo Duro Canyon and the hosts were responsive. Negative: Well there were internet issues, but since we were not there to work - who cares. And I am sure they are fixed by now. Other than that, nothing not to like. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and the house overall.
Positive: The property was well kept and well managed. Very quiet and tranquil. Highly recommend! Negative: Nothing
Quick layover. Positive: Comfortable Negative: Anxiety from not ever hearing from owner on how to get into the unit. Didn’t mind having to make the beds since unit was not ready at 4:00 and owner did not notify Land Keeper of our arrival. Land Keeper was able to let us into the unit. And as of now, owner has not apologized or notified me of waiving cleaning fee. Place is off beaten path, so finding a hotel in area would have sucked! All of this after a stressful 8 hour drive.
Awesome, super quiet place to stay while in school. Was here for about a week doing classes and it was a great place to focus and study
We had a wonderful time in Canyon! We loved the Texas Cabin and hot tub and will definitely be back!
Wonderful Positive: Like home away from home, stunning location, very peaceful. Owner was lovely and inviting. Would 100% recommend for a more rural/ countryside experience Negative: Wasn’t not to like about the cowboy cabin!!
Liked the location Positive: Quiet Negative: I pretty much liked everything
Lee was a great and responsive host. The place was cute and very beautiful surroundings.
The cabin is nicely decorated, had all the necessities, is in a great setting, and the hot tub was very clean. The wifi works great. I had an issue at arrival and later the host resolved it personally.
